Working group meeting, Madrid 2010-11-11
The 3rd meeting of the water monitoring working group of the Joint Process between the EU WFD and Med-EUWI took place in Madrid on 10th November 2010 at the CEDEX premises.
This meeting focused on finalising the report on the status of water monitoring networks and programmes in Southern Mediterranean countries and the identification of pilot areas to demonstrate and validate the working-group recommendations in real-life. The draft report as well as the synthesis of survey carried out among Med countries are available under the document folder below.
The working group report is also a contribution for the implementation of the water strategy of the Union for the Mediterranean and for the Horizon 2020 initiative related to the Mediterranean sea depollution, e.g. by identifying sources of information on land-based pollution and the kind of indicator could reasonably be used at the regional level.
