Mediterranean Preparatory Process for the 8 th World Water Forum in Brasilia
Within the framework of the Mediterranean preparatory process for the 8th World Water Forum which will be held in Brasilia from 18 to 23 March 2018, a large mobilization of the Mediterranean water stakeholders will be organized through a regional event.
Initiated in 2011 in Marrakech, the Mediterranean Water Forum, efficient platform for dialogue and exchange between all stakeholders in the region, aims to strengthen the cooperation and exchange of knowledge and experience in the field of water.
Main step of the preparatory process for the 8th World Water Forum, after Marrakech (Morocco) in December 2011, Murcia (Spain) in November 2014, the 3rd edition will be held by the end of 2017 in a Mediterranean country. The Institut Méditerranéen de l’Eau and the Secretariat of the Union for the Mediterranean with their partners will organize on 11 July 2017 in Monaco, with the collaboration of the Foundation Prince Albert II de Monaco, the kick off meeting of the 3rd Mediterranean Water Forum.
The 3rd Mediterranean Water Forum will gather the Mediterranean Water Community to discuss and debate on priority topics closely linked with the Mediterranean preparatory process for the 8th World Water Forum.
Sessions articulated around these Mediterranean topics will be organized under the shape of working groups and panels to introduce exchanges and points of view to prepare the participation of the Mediterranean Region in the 8 th world Water Forum.
