CALL FOR CONTRIBUTIONS: FILMAMBIAN FESTIVAL AT WORLD WATER FORUM 2018

DURING THE WORLD WATER FORUM, MARCH, 18-23RD, 2018, THERE WILL BE A SPACE DEDICATED TO FILMS PRODUCED BY COMMUNITIES AROUND THE WORLD, WITH THE THEME WATER SHARING.

All stakeholders could send their ideas and experiences on WATER SHARING – documentaries, fiction, experimental or animation short films (up to 2/3minutes) can be submitted. To participate, fill out the application form – available from March 15th to October 1st, 2017 – according to the following rules:

To apply you must:

1. Complete the online form and send a link so that the film can be viewed;
2. If the movie is not spoken in Portuguese, it must have subtitles in this language or in English.
3. All registrations are free of charges and the videos must be sent online.

SELECTION

1. The result will be announced in OCTOBER 2017 on the festival website, and only the selected films will be contacted by email.
2. If the original language of the film is not Portuguese, a list of dialogues in English should be sent to enable translation to Portuguese. Movies spoken in languages ​​other than English should send exhibition copies with English subtitles.
3. Movies spoken in Portuguese should also have subtitles in English – if not possible, at least a list of dialogues in this language.
4. It is necessary to send 2 photos of the movie and one of the director in good resolution (300dpi) and synopsis. Please send this information via wetransfer or any other program that supports the material. Do not send paper, please.
5. The festival may invite representatives of selected films to present and discuss their work with the audience, ensuring hotel and transportation.
6. The festival will inform the representatives of the selected films how to send the copies
7. The international jury will nominate the 5 best shorts, which will receive an award of 500 dollars each.
All prizes will be presented at a ceremony during the 2018 World Water Forum.
8. The participation of a film in the festival means the complete acceptance of these rules and the festival is sovereign to decide on topics not covered here.
