Amsterdam International Water Week (4-8 November 2013) - Call for Papers May 15th 2013
The Amsterdam International Water Week invites you to submit your papers for the International Water Week Conference: Integrated Water Solutions for a Green Economy.
In 2050 more than 70% of the world population will be concentrated in cities, most of which will be located in low-lying deltas. Fast-growing cities face a wide range of challenges and opportunities in their transition towards sustainability and resilience against extreme events. Moving towards a green economy, a number of key issues need to be addressed such as providing fresh water supplies and sanitation of high quality, accessing affordable raw materials and energy sources, and adapting to the impacts of climate change.
Amsterdam International Water Week (AIWW) has been initiated to devise integrated solutions to enable life in delta cities. The conference is unique because it crosses the boundaries between water management and coastal management, drinking water and agriculture, energy and water supply, as well as spatial planning and wastewater.
We invite you to submit your paper (by May 15th) to share your Integrated Solutions for a Green Economy with international water professionals. For information please find enclosed the call for papers and/or visit www.internationalwaterweek.com
Let’s work together for a sustainable, integrated future in delta cities!
