UN Special Rapporteur's Handbook on realising the rights to water and sanitation: SURVEY!
As UN Special Rapporteur on the human right to safe drinking water and
sanitation, I am preparing a handbook to
provide guidance on the key issues regarding the implementation of the human
rights to water and sanitation.
During my past four years as
Special Rapporteur, I have been focussing much of my work on the practical
implications for realising these rights for governments, service providers,
regulators, civil society and others. In the course of this work, I have
received numerous requests for assistance on how these rights should be
integrated into policies and practice. To ensure that this proposed handbook is
relevant, I have prepared this survey to encourage responses from the various
stakeholders to gauge interest and to request inputs on the issues that should
be addressed in the handbook.
I would therefore be very grateful for ten
