Invitation to submit an abstract to the following session at American Geophysical Union (AGU) Fall Meeting: B022 Evapotranspiration Measurement and Modeling
This session is proposed to share information on evapotranspiration (ET) including measurements, methodologies, and models for ET of forests, crops, and urban landscapes. Measurements can include lysimeters, micrometeorological techniques, plant based measurements, remote sensing, etc. Presented microscale models must include validation. Papers that evaluate the possible impact of climate change on evapotranspiration are invited. Demand for water is likely to increase, and climate change could potentially worsen the problem due to changes in precipitation and ET. Researchers are still not in agreement on the ET rates of most vegetation. A consensus on what techniques are acceptable and provide accurate ET estimates is clearly needed.
The abstract submission site is now open. The deadline for submission is August 8, 2012.
