Summary of Requirements
The workshop is part of a project aim to identify environmental issues that may have an impact on security as well as environmental implications of security policies, and will map them in an easily understandable format. Through the participatory process, priorities for action will be set and a programme of work will be developed. The workshop will focus on the Southern Mediterranean region, but will include the inputs and outputs of the environment and security aspects stemming from and to the Northern Mediterranean and adjacent regions. Participants to the workshop will comprise the OSCE participating States and Mediterranean partners for Co-operation (Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Morocco and Tunisia).
The contractor shall prepare different reports and facilitate the development of the workshop organized by the OSCE. Main tasks will include:
Support to the development, implementation and documentation of one participatory workshop on environment and security issues in the Southern Mediterranean Region. One 5-day participatory workshop will be conducted in the Mediterranean Region gathering around 30 participants. Priority issues for the participatory workshops and regional consultations will be identified by the contractor in co-operation with the OCEEA.
