The challenges of implementing an African water resource management agenda
As we move towards Rio +20, this chapter from the recently published "African in Focus: Governance in the 21st century" has relevance since it discusses the outcomes of an important component of Rio 1992's Agenda 21 and provides some lessons to debate during the preparations for Rio +20.
In particular it considers the outcomes from different water management approaches in countries that applied "Dublin Principles" and those that followed the approaches outlined in "Agenda 21".
