6th World Water Forum education and training
Target 1.3.1 of the 6th World Water Forum (Marseille, France, March 12 – 17, 2012) aims to:
Develop ten modular education programmes by 2015, based on harmonized communication strategies, that foster a better understanding of linkages between water, sanitation, hygiene, food security and health to consumers, practitioners, policy/decision-makers and health promoters, and to deliver these programmes in 30 countries by 2018.
As part of a background document for this target, we would like to provide a summary of the topics and approaches being used around the world. Please take 5 minutes to fill in the anonymous survey accessed here: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/RG7GQSD. The survey will remain open for responses until December 12, 2011. In addition, if you could forward this survey on to your contacts working on WASH education, it would be appreciated.
After completing the survey, if you would like your approach to be considered as part of the World Water Forum suite of solutions, you can fill in a more detailed form at www.solutionsforwater.org. You can also attach a short video to your submission describing who your organization is, what type of training you do, and why your approach is unique. Some of these videos will be selected to be shown at the World Water Forum in March 2012.
