News Water Risk Director opportunity

The World Resources Institute (WRI) is seeking a Director to lead its Aqueduct project, which is a high-profile initiative to develop a publicly available, online global database of local-level water risks related to scarcity, pollution, regulatory pressure, governance, and socio-economic dynamics.  The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and use of the Aqueduct database and its derivative analytical applications for more efficient and sustainable water resources management.

 The Aqueduct Director will oversee the implementation of the project, its deliverables, and its budget of over $4 million. She or he will lead a team of 4 staff and 2 interns. The position is located at WRI’s headquarters in Washington DC and reports to the Director of the Markets and Enterprise Program.

 This is a challenging position that offers a unique opportunity to inform and inspire responsible business engagement in water policy reforms for a more efficient, sustainable and equitable use of increasingly scarce water resources.

 Location: Washington, DC

Salary Range90k-120k, Competitive and commensurate with qualifications.  WRI offers a comprehensive benefits package.
