Agreement signature between EMWIS & INBO with AQUAMADRE

At the International Conference on Water in Mountains held in Megève (France) from 22 till 24 September 2010, EMWIS 
and INBO –International Network of Basin Organizations- signed a cooperation agreement with AQUAMADRE, 
International Network for a new socio-economic development around rivers.

EMWIS and INBO have been collaborating for several years on Integrated Water Resources Management –IWRM- at basin level, especially with MENBO, the Mediterranean group of INBO. These agreements will allow the involvements of stakeholders beyond the usual water experts, utilities and river basins managers, to cultural and economic development services. The involvement of the citizens themselves is also a key objective, thought out the organization of large cultural exchanges events.
