Climate adaptation guidance for water sector

The European Commission has issued guidance on how to integrate climate change adaptation into water

management policies after it was adopted at a meeting of national experts in Sweden on Monday. The

commission says member states should take into account the impacts of climate change on water bodies in

their river basin management plans from 2015. The guidance is one of several measures announced in the

commission's adaptation paper.
