Preparation Environment Council, 20-21 October 2008: Preparation of Euro-Mediterranean ministerial conference on water

The Council will take note of a proposed annex to a draft declaration that is due to be adopted at the Euro-Mediterranean ministerial conference on water to be held on 29 October in Jordan. The draft declaration will set the basis for the development of a Mediterranean water strategy, in particular to address water shortages, by 2010. The proposed annex to the declaration contains an indicative list of projects that could be carried out under the strategy.
