EMPA Committee and Plenary meetings taking place in Jordan

The Euro-Mediterranean Parliamentary Assembly (EMPA) Committee on Political Affairs, Security and Human Rights will be meeting in Jordan on October 11. It will be followed by an extraordinary session of the EMPA plenary on October 12-13. During the Committee meeting parliamentarians will exchange views on the report of the Political Committee "The Middle East Peace Process" proposed by its bureau with a view to be transmitted to the plenary. At the same time rapporteurs will be appointed for two topics: "Freedom of expression and respect for religious beliefs" and "Barcelona Process: Union for the Mediterranean - what value added for the development of the Mediterranean region?"
