The EIB at the IWA World Water Congress and Exhibition in Vienna, 7-12 September 2008
The European Investment Bank (EIB) is pleased to inform you of our involvement in the IWA World Water Congress and Exhibition, 7-12 September 2008 in Vienna's Austria Center:
The EIB's Vice-President Mr. Matthias Kollatz-Ahnen will hold a speech at the Local Governments' Day, convened by the "Council of European Municipalities and Regions" and the Organisation "United Cities and Local Governments", on Tuesday, 9 September 2008, 9:00, on the topic: "Are local and regional government's legal, financial, and organisational instruments sufficient to ensure high quality water management to all citizens at an affordable prize?".
On the same day in the afternoon at 14:35, Mr. Christoph Gleitsmann, Water and Wastewater Specialist in the EIB's Project Directorate, will have a presentation in the framework of the workshop "Urban water planning and decision-making: emerging challenges for water system management" on the topic: "Challenges of financing water efficiency".
Throughout the Conference week, the EIB jointly with JASPERS, the EC/EBRD/EIB instrument "Joint Assistance to Support Projects in European Regions", will be present with an information stand at the WWC Exhibition, Hall D, booths 22 and 23. At the stand, you can meet EIB and JASPERS experts to discuss your areas of interest, and also get yourself a copy of the following new publications:
- EIB Water Sector Lending Policy;
- EIB Water Division Brochure 2008;
- ACP Water Project Preparation Facility brochure;
- Guide on Preparation of Flood Risk Management Schemes,
- further EIB and JASPERS brochures.
