Thirsty world needs higher water prices - OECD
Secretary General Angel Gurria of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development told an OECD forum in Paris, France that if governments charge higher rates for water, it will help reduce shortages by discouraging waste. In addition, he said, the increased revenues would allow greater investment in water technology and infrastructure.
