Utility Suez said its energy unit, in a consortium with Gulf Investment Corporation and Arabian Company for Water and Power Projects, has won a tender for the Marafiq water power project in Jubail, north east of Saudi Arabia. The group calls the scheme the "world''s largest power and desalination project", offering 2,750 mega watts (MW) and 800,000 metres cubed capacity per day. It supplies water and electricity to industrial and non-industrial customers in Jubail and eastern province.
