15th “EUROPE-INBO 2017” international conference for the Implementation of the European Water Directives

Irish authorities invite Europe-INBO, this year, to hold the 15th “EUROPE-INBO 2017” International Conference, co-organized with the "Group of European Basin Authorities for the Implementation of the European Water Directives”, from Wednesday 20th to Saturday 23rd September 2017, at the Grand Hotel Malahide, Dublin, IRELAND.

Our International conference will deal with the updated issues of the field Implementation of the Water Framework Directive and other European Water Directives.

We invite the Water Directors, all River Basin District Authorities, all INBO member organizations and observers, and also the water administrations and organizations, interested in the implementation of the Water Framework Directive, and of its “Daughter and related Directives”, of the Member and Candidate Countries of the European Union and of all the other countries of Eastern Europe, the Balkans, Caucasus and Central Asia and of the Mediterranean Basin to join us in Dublin and share their experiences on basin management throughout the sessions of EUROPE-INBO:

The Workshop on "Water data management organization and electronic reporting" will take place on 20 September in the afternoon,

The 4 thematic Roundtables will be organized in plenary sessions on Thursday 21 and Friday 22 September on:

WFD, upcoming milestones: 2019 Review, 3rd RMBPs and beyond...
Adaptation to Climate Change: Pressures, Priorities, Insurances, Impacts and Resilience of Government Agencies and Economic Sectors
Public Participation: Statutory Consultation for RBMP, SEA, NIS and PoMs Development and on-going Sectoral, Voluntary, NGO and Network Participation
New Threats to Aquatic Environments: Degradation of Natural Capital and Ecosystems, Emerging Contaminants and Hazardous Substances, Micro pollutants including Plastics entering the Food-Chain, Non-point Source Pollution, Hydromorphology, Alien Species.

The works will be in English and French.

A Technical Visit will be organized for Coastal and Inland Waters in Dublin and surrounding Counties, on Saturday 23 September.
