Event Sustainable Integrated Wastewater Treatment & Reuse in the Mediterranean

This two-day conference is organized as part of the SWIM Sustain Water MED project, funded by the Eurotechnologies for improved non-conventional water resources management as well as highlight necessary accompanying stakeholder engagement, capacity development and management measures. In this context, pilot projects are implemented in Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt and Jordan and a regional exchange network for mutual learning is established.

This conference brings together water professionals, policymakers, private institutions, industry leaders, experts, consultants, regulators, academics, and practitioners.

Conference Objectives:

  • Engender a structured expert discussion on non-conventional water resources management.
  • Present sustainable and integrated technology options for wastewater treatment and reuse.
  • Demonstrate the progress of SWIM Sustain Water MED pilot activities in the region.
  • Discuss capacity building needs of sustainable integrated non-conventional water resources management.
  • Highlight successful stakeholder engagement mechanisms.
  • Present the benefits and challenges of different management models
