3rd edition of the International Forum on Integrated Water Management, tools for ACTION
Over 70 speakers
coming from around 15 countries have agreed to share their extensive experience
with the 500 participants expected to attend the International Forum.
Several of them own a unique expertise and international influence, discover
our keynote
speakers.
The central theme of this
conference, the issues of
Transboundary Waters Management in a context of Climate Change, will be
addressed over 16 thematic sessions presenting tools for:
- governance and capacity-building,
- water management and water uses management,
- or risks management and adaptation to climate change.
Organizers also
decided to promote three case studies that are the Great Lakes and St. Lawrence
system, the Rhine-Meuse system and the Rio Grande /
Bravo.
Finally two workshops will
precise:
- the expected benefits from water cooperation, organized in partnership with the UNECE Secretariat servicing the Convention on the Protection and Use of Transboundary Watercourses and International Lakes (see details here),
- the importance of water in the definition of the post-2015 sustainable development objectives, organized in partnership with UNESCO.

that some sessions might changed or be displaced over the next weeks. In
addition some practical informations (transportation, accommodation...) about your
stay in Québec City are available on our website.
The conferences
program will be completed by written communications. A student posters contest,
awarded with 1 500 $ of prize is organized and we are awaiting for your
