Fifth International Conference on Water Loss Reduction in Water Supply Systems
The Fifth International Conference on Water Loss Reduction in Water Supply Systems organised by the Bulgarian Water Association and supported by the European Water Resources Association will be held in Sofia, Bulgaria on 19th and 20th November 2012.
The conference will be held for the fifth consecutive year and is considered to be the major annual water loss event in the Balkan region.
This year’s conference will document available know-how and best practices and will recommend new approaches for more efficient management in the field of water with a focus on water loss reduction.
In addition there will be two extremely interesting Round Table discussions:
- · Round Table 1 “Non-revenue Water Reduction – Problems and Tangible Targets Setting” moderated by Ivan Ivanov and Atanas Paskalev.
- · Round Table 2 “Exchange of Experience in Water Loss Reduction between Operators in Central and East European Countries – WOP SEE” moderated by Aleksandar Krstic, Atanas Paskalev and Bambos Charalambous.
The conference is supported by the European Water Resources Association (EWRA). The Editorial Board of the Water Utility Journal published by EWRA will select a certain number of papers from those which will be accepted for oral presentation at the conference to be published in the first issue of the Journal in 2013. The papers to be published will be chosen based on originality, clarity, relevance, contribution to knowledge and which will present interesting solutions to water utility problems, technological innovations, practical guidelines for enhancing the efficiency of water systems as well as good practices and success stories.
