WATERDISS 2.0 Oxford Summer School: Flood Risk Management
The WATERDISS 2.0 Summer School on FLOOD RISK MANAGEMENT is organized with the aim to provide an opportunity of an intensive working together of talented young researchers, PhD students or freelancers from all over Europe with some of the leading academics, researchers and practitioners in the field.
The Summer School programme is based on the participation of the project partners of some of the most important EU funded research projects dealing with flood risk management: FLOODsite, SUCA, IMRA, MOVE, HYDRATE, ROOMFORTHERIVER, CONHAZ, IMPRINTS. After each session there will be the time (at least 1 hour) for direct and free interaction/discussion between students and speakers on the issues presented. There will also be a number of exercises to assist the students in developing a proposal for a research project, incorporating the design of the dissemination and take-up stages and the budgeting for those operations.
can present a paper or a poster for discussion at the summer school. The paper has to be mailed to the School secretariat (see address below) not later than June 1, 2012. Each paper will be sent to the summer school teachers, to help them provide a more focused discussion on participants’ works. The poster presentation will open the Summer School on Monday 16th July. Application forms are available from and have to be returned to the WATERDISS 2.0 Summer School Secretariat. The deadline for registration is May 2, 2012 .

Le projet WaterDiss2.0 organise une Université d’été à Oxford du 16 au 20 juillet 2012 sur la thématique de la Gestion du risque Inondation
Cette Université d’été est organisée dans le but de créer la collaboration entre de talentueux jeunes chercheurs, doctorants ou freelancers de toute l'Europe avec quelques-uns des plus éminents universitaires, chercheurs et praticiens œuvrant dans ce domaine.
Le programme de l’Université d’été est basé sur la participation des partenaires du projet WaterDiss2.0 et de projets Européens traitant de la gestion du risque Inondation: FLOODsite, Suca, IMRA, MOVE, HYDRATE, ROOMFORTHERIVER, CONHAZ, IMPRINTS.
Après chaque
session, un temps de
discussion permettra une interaction directe et libre entre les étudiants et les conférenciers sur les questions présentées.
Un certain nombre d'exercices seront
proposés aux étudiants afin de les aider
à développer leurs compétences en terme de formulation de
proposition d’un projet de
recherche.
