3rd European Water Conference

The 3rd European Water Conference will take place on 24 – 25 May 2012 in Brussels. The conference is taking place in the framework of the Green Week 2012, which is organised by DG Environment of the European Commission in the Charlemagne premises in Brussels, Belgium.

The conference will start at 9:00 on 24 May and finish with a joint closing session with Green Week at 12:30 on 25 May. The event is planned for ca. 400 participants.

The 3rd European Water Conference aims to contribute to the preparation of the Blueprint to Safeguard Europe’s Water Resources (see www.ec.europa.eu/environment/water/blueprint).
The Conference will serve as a platform for consultation and debate between different stakeholders, Member States and the European Commission on the Blueprint policy options to deliver better implementation, integration and completion of EU water policy also in view of the impact assessment that will accompany the Blueprint.

Ecologic Institute is engaged in a support contract with the European Commission for the organisation of this event.

Please note that participation in the 3rd European Water Conference is based on a pre-established closed list and on invitation only.
The detailed invitation will be sent in early 2012. Invitees will receive a UNIQUE link to register to the conference, together with practical information on the conference.
