STREAM Policy Seminar "State of the art in urban water management"
The seminar aims at showing the current state of the European policy and research efforts on urban water management, as well as the best practices and challenges for practical implementation of sustainable water management in cities. The event brings politicians and researchers together to make sure that policies are based on the latest research, research is policy driven, and together they focus on the practical implementation of solutions.

The first policy seminar "State of the art in urban water management" will take place the 1st of November inAmsterdam within the framework of the International Water Week.
It will address the issues related to urban water management systems, often relying on inefficient, unsustainable and aged infrastructures. The newest approaches in urban water management will be showcased, connecting them to the existing legislation and processes, such as Water Stewardship.
PROGRAMME
The seminar will be divided into two parts. Part 1 will show the current state of European policy and research developments, while Part 2 will focus on the practical implementation of sustainable water management in cities and the challenges for implementation on the political, technical and economical level.
Both sessions include a set of presentations and an interactive debate.

PARTICIPATION AND REGISTRATION
The seminar will be organized in correspondance with an eminent event for the water industry: The International Water Week, (IWW). The IWW, which will be held between the 29th of October and the 4th of November, will house a variety of conferences, activities and public events in order to examine global water issues and discuss possible solutions.
Participation to the event is available for all registered participants in the IWW. Apart from your registration for the IWW, www.internationalwaterweek.com, we are kindly requesting you to inform us of your intended participation by sending an email to stream@ewp.eu to allow us to better prepare the event. Updated information will be available on the STREAM website.
