PROMITHEAS 2010: Conference on Energy and Climate Change

The PROMITHEAS Network is organizing for the third year the International Scientific Conference on "Energy and Climate Change " during 7-8 October 2010 in Athens (Greece). 

The PROMITHEAS Conference started as an activity of the FP6 funded project titled PROMITHEAS-2" and has become a traditional annual meeting for scientists and researchers working in energy and climate change policy issues. The 1st PROMITHEAS Conference titled "Energy Investments and Trade Opportunities" was a two-day event with two types of sessions, political and scientific, that took place in 2008.

The 2nd PROMITHEAS Conference titled "Energy and Climate Change" was organized during 8-9 October 2009 and included only scientific sessions. Both events were organized by the Energy Policy and Development Centre (KEPA) of the NKUA, coordinator of the PROMITHEAS Network, and were set under the auspices of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) Organization. All events were hosted by the oldest university of Greece, the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA).

This year the 3rd International Scientific Conference titled "Energy and Climate Change" of the PROMITHEAS Net will take place at the premises of NKUA (photo) on October 7- 8, 2010 in Athens, Greece. The event is asked to be set under the auspices of BSEC.

The Scientific Committee invites scientists, researchers, PhD candidates and policy makers from all over the world to participate.
