Privatizing the water? Risks and opportunities in comparison
Saturday, September 26th will host at the Auditorium S. Margaret, from 10.30 hours, the round table "to privatize water? Risks and opportunities for comparison ", an issue more topical than ever.
In August 2008 the Parliament approved the Decree 112 of Minister Tremonti, in which Article 23a states that the management of water services is subject to market rules. This decision confirms the desire to make water a commodity rather than public but subject to the management of free competition in the market. With what consequences? Speakers include the journalist Giuseppe Altamore (author of several books including "The water in the story"), Gianfranco Bettin (Regional Council), Salvatore Ciriacono (Univ. Ca 'Foscari), Pierfrancesco Ghetti (Rector University Ca' Foscari of Venice) Andrea Razzini (CEO Group Veritas), and Franco Favaro (group San Benedetto). An important learning opportunity on the issue of water management in Veneto and in Italy. Admission free. For information 041/5906897, comunicazione@civiltacqua.org
