Global Climate Week

UNEP is leading the Global Climate Week which will take place from 21st to 25th September. The focus of this event will be to build support for a global Climate Petition [available at: www.sealthedeal2009.org] which will be presented by civil society to governments of the world in Copenhagen.

The Global Climate Week will feature a range of online activities and events in more than 120 countries as part of the UN-led Seal the Deal! campaign. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon is leading the call for UN agencies and communities around the world to take advantage of this important week to encourage leaders to seal a fair, balanced and effective agreement on climate change.

A simple way for you all to get involved in Global Climate Week is by wearing something green on 22 September, the day of the Secretary-General’s Summit on Climate Change.
