The informal meeting on Water previous on the 24th of June: Working session on water

The agenda of this meeting will be:

. 14h30-15h30: meeting of the EU 's representatives

. 15h30-16h00: welcome of the other representatives and coffe break

. 16h00-18h00: meeting of all the representatives.

A  sightseeing tour and a diner will be organised at the end of the meeting.

Dear Colleagues,

In the framework of the Union for the Mediterranean, a ministerial meeting on Sustainable development projects will be held in Paris on 25 June 2009. This meeting will address the main 4 themes that are Water and Environment, Transport, Energy and Urban Development through technical workshops, organized on 25 June morning. The results of these technical sessions will be reported during the ministerial segment in the afternoon.

The invitation to this ministerial meeting, signed by Ministers Rachid and Borloo, was distributed to your country via the French Embassy last week.

Concerning the Water and Environment Technical Workshop co-chaired by Egypt and France, please find herewith its Concept note including the agenda.

This meeting will take place in Paris, CNIT, La Défense, Parvis de la Grande Arche, room Darwin, on 25 June from 9:30 to 12:30.

In this framework, I have the pleasure to invite the representative that will be nominated by your country to take part in the Technical Workshop on Water on 25 June morning, to an informal diner, the day before.

This diner will be preceded by an informal working session (15:00 - 18:00) which will allow exchanges of information linked to the follow up of the ministerial conference on water held in Jordan on 22 December 2008.

We would be very grateful if we could get your confirmation, mentioning if yourself or another representative from your country will attend the Technical Workshop on the 25 June and the diner on 24 June.
