More major companies in the retail and FMCG industries are becoming increasingly aware of the importance of developing water resource management and water conservation strategies for their manufacturing and operations, alongside their other energy saving and carbon reduction initiatives. London Business Conferences are delighted to announce The Water Footprint Summit taking place on 16-17 December 2008 in London, which will bring the water industry together with leading food, beverage, brewing and other manufacturing industries.

As well as our highly successful Global Water series of events, London Business Conferences has already organised several Carbon Footprint Summits, with over 1000 delegates attending from major brands and retailers worldwide. The Water Footprint Summit will cover both global and local water scarcity impacts, agricultural water consumption, price of energy and raw material sourcing, 
regional access to low cost water sources, managing uncertainties around costs and supply, early findings on defining the scope of the water footprint - internal water usage and external supply chain impacts - and examining the business case for making water footprint measurement investments, including the payback period.
