Intensive courses on Desalination Engineering: Seawater Desalination and Marine Environment
After a brief introduction into the desalination technology and the
geographical distribution of desalination plants, the training course will
focus on the chemical discharges into the sea on the one hand and on the
marine ecology of most loaded seas (Arabian Gulf, Red Sea,
Mediterranean
Sea) on the others. Scope and methodology of environmental impact
assessments will be outlined.
Lecturers Prof. Thomas Höpner and Sabine Lattemann
