Event The World Life Sciences Forum BioVision / BioVision.Nxt 2007: “The Contribution of Life Sciences to the Millennium Development Goals”

If you are doing a PhD or a PostDoc in Life Sciences, this message may be of interest to you.  BioVision, the World Life Sciences Forum, will take place in Lyon, March 10-14, 2007 and has a few places left for talented young scientists who are committed to tackling today’s major global issues. The World Life Sciences Forum BioVision is an international platform comprised of world renowned life sciences experts representing science, society and industry who will focus on an action-oriented agenda, and identify, through dialogue and debate, useful applications of technology relative to the globe’s major issues in Life Sciences (health, agriculture/nutrition and environment). BioVision’s mission is also to provide objective information to the public regarding the questions raised by progress in Life Sciences and their applications. The overarching theme for BioVision 2007 is: “The Contribution of Life Sciences to the Millennium Development Goals”. BioVision’s programme for the next generation of the “best and brightest”: BioVision.Nxt, gathers together 100 top flight PhDs, Postdocs and MBAs representing leading universities and research institutions around the world. This select group will spend a full week in Europe entirely dedicated to Life Sciences.  In addition to a special programme for the in-coming “Class of 2007” (workshops hosted by EMBO, Next Wave/L’Oreal and the New York Academy of Sciences), BioVision.Nxt 2007 will also work with UNICEF to address the globe’s challenges as they relate to the next generation, and will present a “Call for Action” during the “.Nxt Generation Forum” on Wednesday, March 14th.
