Desert and Desertification conference under auspices: Current Issues & Future Prospects

The organizing committee of the conference at Sebha University invites the interested research specialists with topics related to desert and desertification for participation with their researches, studies and experiences to enrich this conference and that according to the following topics:

Natural resources and their role for the development of desert communities and awareness of the risk of their uncontrolled usage.
Ground water as one of the vital resources and risk of its uncontrolled usage in desert regions.
Desertification problem in the Libya and other countries.
Efforts and experiences of Libya and other countries in controlling desertification problem.

To draw attention towards the direct and indirect damage to ecosystems due to desertification problem and social and environmental effects caused by it.

To point the mismanagement of agriculture land use and its negative effects in preserving the soil from desertification

Considering the risks arising from usage of natural resources in the desert region specially ground water.
