1st Workshop on Water Resources in the University of Damascus
The Faculty of Civil Engineering (University of Damascus) organises the 1st workshop on water resources in 27 March 2007 on the occasion of the World Water Day (22nd March). The aim of this workshop is to raise awareness on the importance of such resource and the necessity of its conservation, good management, and warn on the problems that threat this scarce resource, especially in the Arabic countries. This workshop will handle issues such as: sustainable use of conventional and non-conventional water resources, water demand management (irrigation, drinking and industrial waters), and water infrastructures.
