The European Union Water Initiative (EU-WI) represents the EU's most specific contribution to support the implementation of the Decisions of the World Summit on Sustainable Development (WSSD) held in Johannesburg in September 2002. It stands for a common European approach to meet the challenges of water-related Millennium Development Goals. |
